Educational Therapy & Academic Support

We provide one-on-one educational therapy and academic coaching to strengthen student engagement and metacognition in the learning process from kindergarten to college With a focus on the individualized process of learning, we partner with students to facilitate understanding in literacy, written expression, math, advanced courses and test prep for all ages.

We’ll monitor progress periodically, conduct assessments or make referrals as needed. We’ll listen carefully to you and your child and communicate on an ongoing basis with you as well as with teachers, administrators, and other allied professionals on your child’s team. We’ll also be proactive—and we hope you will, too—in initiating team meetings to discuss progress and adjust our course along the way.

Testimonials

My son has been working with his clinician at SFL for more than a year, and she’s doing a superlative job. There are the tangible results, such as his GPA moving from the high 2s to a 4.0, the reduction in the number of assignments he fails to turn in, and his increasing fluency in writing.  Equally important to me are the intangible results, such as his growing insight into how his brain works and ability to express that insight.  Celia M.

SfL has helped my daughter find her math super power, she not only makes math enjoyable but builds confidence and understands how my daughter approaches a math problem. We look forward to seeing her each week. Kathy, Mother of 4th Grader
