A Team of Educational Therapists & Specialists

Strategies for Learning is a dedicated team of experienced educational therapists and specialists, supporting students with diverse learning differences and disabilities. Our clinicians are highly trained educators, committed to helping students and their families. With extensive expertise in evidence-based approaches, learning differences, and disabilities, they tailor their teaching methods to each student’s unique learning style.

Our Vision & Mission

Our vision is to ensure that every student, regardless of ability, receives the support needed to become an independent learner and a thriving member of the community.

Our mission is to enhance student engagement and metacognition through educational therapy and academic coaching across all subject areas. We also provide integrated case management, advocacy, and consultation to assist with complex learning and school-related matters.

What Parents Say

"Our son has ADHD and some learning challenges. We have been thrilled by the progress he has made in his approaches to organization, schoolwork and learning. His SfL Clinician has been able to consistently support our son, independently developing new and engaging ways of working with him as he develops and matures."
Laura, Mother of 10th grader
"My son has been working with his clinician at SFL for more than a year, and she’s doing a superlative job. There are the tangible results, such as his GPA moving from the high 2s to a 4.0, the reduction in the number of assignments he fails to turn in, and his increasing fluency in writing. Equally important to me are the intangible results, such as his growing insight into how his brain works and ability to express that insight."

A Holistic Approach Through the Lens of Educational Therapy

We offer educational therapy and academic coaching to enhance student engagement and metacognition from kindergarten through college. Focusing on the individualized learning process, we work closely with students to build understanding in literacy, writing, math, advanced courses, and test preparation for all ages.

We regularly monitor progress, conduct assessments, and make referrals when necessary. We listen closely to both you and your child, maintaining open communication with you, teachers, administrators, and other professionals involved in your child’s education. We’re proactive in initiating team meetings to discuss progress and adjust strategies as needed—and we encourage you to be, too.

Partnerships With Schools

We collaborate with public and private schools to offer educational services for students in need of supplemental or specialized academic support and educational therapy.

Schools can allocate compensatory education funds or other educational resources toward our services, which include essential educational services.

We’ll listen to your concerns, understand the student’s unique challenges, answer your questions, and guide you through how we can provide support.
