Lilyana Auster, Clinician

Dr. Lilyana Auster is a SPED-informed educator, instructional systems leader, and mathematics specialist who provides highly individualized remote instruction for students with learning differences. She brings nearly twenty years of experience helping neurodiverse learners build confidence, close skill gaps, and develop the tools they need to thrive academically.

Dr. Auster is known for her ability to identify the root cause of a student’s learning challenges—whether gaps in number sense, conceptual misunderstandings, language demands, processing difficulties, or executive-functioning barriers—and design customized, evidence-based intervention plans that meet each learner exactly where they are. Her approach blends explicit instruction, visual models, multisensory strategies, and executive-functioning routines to help students develop deep conceptual understanding and greater independence.

With a Doctorate in Leadership in Innovation & Improvement and certifications in mathematics, administration, SEL, and special education leadership, Dr. Auster brings a rare combination of clinical expertise and systems-level insight. She has supported students with dyscalculia, ADHD, executive-functioning challenges, multilingual learning needs, and dual exceptionality, and she has led MTSS and SPED systems across multiple districts. This experience allows her to collaborate effectively with families, teachers, and IEP teams to ensure students receive the support they deserve.

Dr. Auster’s remote sessions are structured, supportive, and tailored to each learner’s strengths. She believes that every student can succeed when instruction is accessible, relationships are strong, and learning is designed with intention. Her work centers on helping students build confidence, develop problem-solving skills, and experience success—often for the first time in their academic journey.
