With a Bachelor of Education in Interdisciplinary Studies, earned with Summa Cum Laude honors from Texas A&M University, and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus on Math Education K-12, from The University of Texas, Susan Ardila brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. Susan is currently completing her post-graduate Educational Therapy Certification through NILD.
From early teaching roles covering science and social studies to leadership as a science facilitator, Susan has consistently delivered engaging and effective learning. A notable accomplishment includes crafting the comprehensive math curriculum for a 6th-grade math department, showcasing their dedication to creating impactful learning experiences. Since then, she’s grown in her expertise in supporting students from middle school to upper-level mathematics.
Susan also goes beyond academics, recognizing the emotional facets of learning. Her interest in executive functioning skills stems from a deep understanding of their significance in task management, time organization, and emotional regulation. A collaborator by nature, Susan values strong partnerships with families. Drawing from her experience as a mentor to university student teachers and her background in accommodating children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, she effectively communicates with both students and parents.
Susan’s passion for education extends outside the classroom as she serves as the Vice President of Kappa Delta Pi. Additionally, Susan finds joy in contributing to her community values family time, and embraces life’s simple pleasures.
