Tracy Young holds a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College, a Master of Business Administration from Boston University, and holds her Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA) Certification.

Tracy is a dedicated advocate for dyslexia awareness and education, driven by a personal journey that transformed her into a passionate force for change. Her advocacy began when she discovered that her high-school-age daughter was dyslexic, sparking a profound commitment to understanding and addressing the challenges associated with dyslexia. Motivated by her daughter’s experience, Tracy embarked on a journey of awareness and education, delving into the intricacies of dyslexia. This quest for knowledge led her to become an Orton-Gillingham tutor, a role that not only allows her to make a positive impact on individuals with dyslexia but also reflects her commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

Tracy’s dedication goes beyond tutoring and has completed her certification from the Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA), further solidifying her expertise and ensuring that she remains at the forefront of effective dyslexia intervention strategies. Tracy also serves as the President of her local school board. In this influential role, she has been a catalyst for transformative change in how reading is taught within the local school system. Tracy’s vision and advocacy have played a pivotal role in reshaping special educational and Tier 1 reading instruction to better accommodate students with dyslexia as well as struggling readers. Tracy Young’s multifaceted approach to dyslexia advocacy, encompassing tutoring, certification pursuits, and leadership in education, showcases her unwavering dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of those affected by dyslexia. Her story is not just one of personal growth but also a testament to the power of individuals to drive systemic change for the benefit of the broader community.
