Samantha holds a Master’s in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University specializing in English. She has ten years of experience teaching middle and high school in New York City and in Oakland, California. She believes in supporting her students in taking ownership of their learning and developing skills to support critical thinking.
Samantha has worked in inclusive classrooms supporting students with different learning needs, including students with ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, autism, ED, and ODD. She believes that everyone learns differently and at their own pace and should get some choice in how they learn based on interest and need. She loves designing curriculum, debates, project-based learning, and self-paced differentiated videos to engage her students.
