Elizabeth Rubertone

Elizabeth holds a BS in special education from Boston University, as well as a M.Ed from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She is certified to teach special education in grades Pre-K through 8, and English as a second language in grades PreK-6. Elizabeth has 14 years of teaching experience, working with students with a variety of learning profiles. 

Throughout her professional career, Elizabeth has completed many additional trainings to build a toolbox of strategies to use to help students achieve success.  She has completed training programs in Wilson Reading, Orton Gillingham, Project Read, and Lindamood Bell.  She has also taught writing, math and study and organizational skills at the elementary level.  Elizabeth believes in the value of reflection in teaching and learning.  She is constantly evaluating her approaches with students through reflecting on students’ successes and challenges.  She also guides students in reflecting on their own growth and progress, building confidence in their abilities.  

When she is not teaching or learning, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.  Some of her favorite hobbies include hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding and baking.
