He has over a decade of teaching experience in various capacities working with students of multitudinous backgrounds.

His experience as a 1:1 academic instructor and tutor and as a classroom teacher equipped him with the skills to effectively engage students in a structured yet creative and fun way. He teaches all core academic subjects and is especially adept at working with neurodivergent learners who need differentiated instruction. Larry also has a background in structured literacy instruction (SIPPS) and is especially passionate about math instruction and has a strong working knowledge of a variety of effective math curriculums.

As part of his practice, which is grounded in rigor and content standards, he consistently emphasizes that growth is the goal, no matter how big or small. Every singular step a student takes toward that goal is supported with the utmost care and empathy as their social-emotional well-being remains a prime concern for Larry. When students feel validated, learning comes more easily!

In addition to teaching, Larry remains passionate about cooking, nature, exercise, comedy, and world cinema.
