Supporting Kindergarten to Adult
At Strategies for Learning, we partner with students to provide one-on-one academic support and educational therapy from kindergarten to young adults. After the intake, we carefully consider the student’s needs and recommend a Clinician match from our talented team of specialists and educational therapists. Our goal is to match your child with a Clinician whose training and experience best align with the student’s age, academic needs, temperament, and learning style.
Online & In-Person Support
We offer both online and in-person support and have a team of Clinicians across the country in different time zones. In-person sessions take place at our Oakland learning clinic on Grand Ave. We also work with students on on campus around the East Bay Area during the school day. Areas of Focus
We approach academic support through the lens of educational therapy. In addition to content support, our focus is to help students develop the skills, strategies, and habits needed to succeed in school. What Parents Say
“Our daughter’s experience at SfL has been truly transformative. She went from being a frustrated learner, not understanding why she couldn’t keep up with her classmates to a thriving student and valued member of her school community.”
Father of 9th Grader
“Our son hated school, had come to doubt his own abilities, and was falling behind. SfL improved his self-confidence and by the time he started third grade, he was reading at grade level-a seeming impossibility.”
Ellen, Mother of 3rd Grader
