Clinician
Pamela is a National Board Certified Special Educator and holds an associate-level Educational Therapist position. She also earned her Master’s in research consultation in Psychology from the University of South Africa (UNISA) in 2002 as well as a Master’s in Special Education from Kennesaw State University in the state of Georgia in 2005. Additionally, Pamela holds several teaching credentials which include Multiple subjects (Grades K-12), Education Specialist- Mild to Moderate, and Education Specialist -Moderate to Severe.
Pamela brings her rich background in Special Education and her training as an Educational Therapist when supporting students. For the last two decades, she has worked as a classroom teacher, a Special Educator, and a Special Day Class Instructor from grades 3rd to 12th. She also has experience providing 1:1 tutoring/educational therapy and homeschool support outside the classroom.
As an educator, she applies the whole-person approach and believes students have to overcome invisible emotional barriers before they are open to learning new information. Her job is to address these barriers and appeal to students’ individual needs. She believes that students and adults learn better when they feel valued and supported. Pamela is also committed to modeling lifelong learning for her students and believes teaching should be a reciprocal process where she imparts and earns knowledge to and from her students.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her loved ones.
