What is Social-Emotional Learning?
Socio-emotional learning is the process of developing and utilizing social and emotional skills. SEL supports interpersonal skills, can improve self-awareness, self-control, and impulse control. Social-emotional skills allow children to better cope with challenges, effectively problem-solve, make decisions and can benefit students academically.
Research shows that social-emotional learning can lead to improved grades, less emotional stress, and fewer behavioral or disciplinary issues.
